- I am an artist and art tutor for adult learning. I have a BA hons in Art & Design. I have exhibited my work in galleries in Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Littleborough, Leeds and Harrogate and also undertake commissions. Besides enjoying the Arts, I am also a qualified level 2 Reiki Healer. I enjoy waking up to the sound of Spring in the morning, drinking good wine, spending time with my family and friends. I am very concerned about the way the human race has and is continuing to mistreat this beautiful planet, the China/ Tibet problem, how our consumerism creates an excessive and unecessary manufacture of plastic which is choking the seas and using up the resources. I have seen the majesty of whales in the wild and I have been swimming with dolphins and totally disagree with any country that advocates the killing of both, whatever the excuse.

I feel the goverment is playing a dangerous game by trying to make everything we choose to do in our leisure time an "acreddited course". people choose to attend a/c ad. ed. courses for pleasurable learning, for socializing and for the good of their mental health-this applies to other of our courses too! if this facility is taken from those that use it-as seems to be the direction we are going in with this goverment-it will cost them ie. the NHS, a lot more in the future. we need to care for the mental health of the country and ad. ed. does a lot towards that, in a wide variety of ways,but particularly in creative courses.
